Anheuser-Busch has partnered with American Forests since 2001. American Forests works to protect, restore and enhance forest areas. As part of our corporate sponsorship, American Forests plants trees to restore damaged forest ecosystems, conducts assessments of the ecosystem services that forests contribute to communities, assesses the need for additional investment in forests at the local and regional level, and conducts policy analysis and public education programs to involve the public in the decisions affecting the condition and extent of forests in the United States.
In 2007, Anheuser-Busch offered its shareholders the opportunity to receive the company’s annual report online. American Forests planted one tree on behalf of each shareholder who enrolled in this program. Through the tree-planting program, American Forests helped Anheuser-Busch and its shareholders support a global effort to restore ecosystems that have been damaged by natural and human causes. In addition, these trees will help clean the air and water, filter polluted runoff, slow global warming and erosion, and provide habitat for wildlife.
