Anheuser-Busch and Restore America's Estuaries (RAE) have been partners in conservation since 2002. Anheuser-Busch has provided RAE with volunteer support and funding to help restore salmon habitat in the Pacific Northwest. In 2005, Anheuser-Busch provided funding to sponsor six restoration projects — three in Puget Sound and three in San Francisco Bay.
In 2006, employees from Anheuser-Busch's Houston Brewery; SeaWorld San Antonio; and Anheuser-Busch’s local wholesaler, Del Papa Distributing Co., partnered with RAE affiliate Galveston Bay Foundation to help restore Pierce Marsh in Galveston Bay. This partnership continues to expand each year.
In December 2006, Restore America's Estuaries and the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana partnered with Budweiser and other local organizations to support the ongoing effort to restore New Orlean's City Park. The park has been a part of the New Orleans community for more than 150 years and is considered one of the city’s greatest treasures. This valuable resource, filled with beautiful gardens and luscious oaks, is still in the process of recovering from Hurricane Katrina. More than 300 volunteers attended this restoration event and helped plant nearly 10,000 plants, trees and shrubs on more than 5,000 feet of lakeside shoreline along Bayou St. John.
